Ios vmware image9/28/2023 ![]() In a lab/virtual environment you'll probably use ethernet connections between the routers, in the real world it's likely you'll be using pppoa/pppoe WAN interfaces with NAT. You'll need to repeat (but reverse) the above on the other router. ![]() b.b.b.b is the remote router's public ip address. If you have more than one subnet on either end of the link just add the necessary lines to the access list. Where x.x.x.x is your local lan subnet and y.y.y.y is the remote lan subnet. For some quick info though you'll need something along these lines:Ĭrypto isakmp key Trivious_Secret_Key address b.b.b.b no-xauth You'll also need two virtual routers to really get to grips with it. you'll still need an IOS image to load on, for VPNs you'll need one with 'k9' in the name. The old ISCW course had a large section on ipsec vpns, not sure where it sits in the new courses though.
